What is SOCSA's Opera Night Gala?

SOCSA Foundation's 7th Annual Opera Night, OPERA CELEBRATION, is an All-Orange County Invitational Concert and Fundraising Gala featuring select talented and award-winning young vocalists. Opera Night is open to all high school students in Orange County by audition and for those selected, SOCSA Foundation provides Opera workshops, individual vocal lessons and master classes from Opera professionals.

SOCSA's Opera Night Fundraising Gala is $150 per seat or a table of 10 for $1,500 and features:

• Reception with No-Host Bar
• Student Art Exhibit
• String Quartet
• Three-Course Gourmet Dinner
• Award Winning Student Opera Performances

OPERA PREVIEW NIGHT

A preview night will be held at Dana Hills High School's Porthole Theater on Saturday, March 27th at 7pm. Tickets are $20 for all ages. ONLINE TICKET SALES HAVE CLOSED... GREAT SEATS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR STARTING AT 6:30pm THE DAY OF THE PERFORMANCE. All proceeds from both events go directly to SOCSA in support of arts education in our schools.

SOCSA's Opera Night Mission Statement is to:

• Provide a leadership role in arts education for Orange County high school students, building future audiences for our local Opera companies while shaping and enriching lives in the present.


• Promote a better understanding of Opera as a multi-faceted art form, of its contributions to our history, and of its many influences in our present day lives.


• Offer a venue to showcase the developing talents of SOCSA and other Orange County high school students, while facilitating audience development for our local Opera Houses and promoting Opera itself as a powerful entertainment genre.
