    SOCSA FOUNDATION RECEIVES $10,000 DONATION:
SOCSA Academy's Artistic Director, Ray Woods, and his wife donate $10,000 for the future Dana Hills High School Performing Arts Center

In late December 2008, Ray and Amy Woods, donated $10,000.00 to the SOCSA Foundation earmarked for the future Dana Hills High School Performing Arts Center.

Mr. Woods stated, "My wife and I are glad to do our part and support the SOCSA Foundation's $4 million Capital Campaign for the new performing arts center at Dana Hills with our donation. Dana Hills High School, SOCSA students and the entire South County community have been in need of a new state-of-the-art theater for a long time now and our hope is other art supporters will also donate to this amazing project."

A successful capital campaign will provide Dana Hills High School, SOCSA and the entire South Orange County community with a much needed Performing Arts Center. But none of this can happen without your help. With your donation of any size to SOCSA, you will be a part of the blueprint for the future of arts education in our public schools.

Help SOCSA build its theater and you'll leave a legacy in the arts to future generations. Choose a one-time tax deductible donation, or, to bring SOCSA closer to its goal, authorize the SOCSA Foundation to charge your credit card multiple times. Visit SOCSArts.org's secure site and donate online today!

SOCSA presents "unleashed" the Dance Concert. SOCSA dance students will dazzle you with their amazing performance.

If you love dance, you'll be thrilled by the choreography and beauty in this annual production featuring over 40 SOCSA dance students. A variety of works will be presented from modern ballet to hip-hop.

SOCSA offers not only technical training for the serious high school dance student, but it offers practical training as well. Students are trained formally in the major of dance through the genres of ballet, tap, jazz and modern. Once students successfully enter into their third year of training, the student's jury to become a member of the SOCSA Dance Company. Thus, the students will acquire two years of experience in dancing choreographed works in a company environment, which will include not only dance training and choreographic experiences with guest artists and dance faculty, but practice and execution of theatrical design in the areas of lighting, costume, makeup and scenery. The program will address all the needs of the student for directly entering into a career in dance, a program or institution of higher learning, or just simply for the appreciation and love toward the art of dance.

This is your chance to see years of student study and practice during this amazing night of dance... BUY YOUR TICKETS ONLINE NOW!
